Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.
People change. People grow. Sometimes people regress. Regardless, people change. We change physically, we change emotionally, hopefully sometimes we even change our mind about some things. It's a sign of humanity. People change. Jesus does not. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and for ever.
This seems a strange thing to say in these days when we are especially thinking of Jesus as a baby. Obviously he grew and changed as well. But what we mean when we say this is: Jesus Christ is God's love brought into flesh for the world. Never changes. God's love doesn't change. The meaning and purpose of Jesus' life never changes. It's love and grace. Always. Jesus Christ, the love of God, is the same yesterday and today and for ever.
