1 Timothy 1:5 But the aim of such instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith.
It is the season of beginnings in the church, the beginning of Sunday School and Confirmation and Youth Group. Adult Forums and adult Bible Studies are starting up. There are lots of opportunities for you to learn and grow in your faith. But why? What's the point of Christian learning ministries?
It's not to make you feel bad for what you don't know. It's not to make you feel more superior to those who don't participate in a Bible Study. It's not simply to intellectually intrigue you. No - the goal of Christian instruction is love. We are trying to build up love. Let's work on that.
